We held our first Team Talk of 2020 at Ashford Hospital last Thursday. Thank you to all of you who could make it. Take up of the live streaming at the September Team Talk was low so we didn’t live stream this time. However, for those of you who couldn’t make it we have a brief highlights video for you below to get a taster of the event.

As you know from my previous messages we have been looking at tailoring our internal communications and engagement tools, individualising the approach and delivery. Looking at ways to encourage effective and meaningful two-way engagement in a style that is fit for the 21st Century, encompassing your feedback and suggestions.

On the whole the leadership team have felt this new format - Team Talk - has been very successful with a good mixture of colleagues attending and interesting, thought provoking questions raised. Nevertheless, we have received mixed feedback from colleagues. Like any new initiative or way of working we implement at the Trust, it will be an evolving process. As you all know one of the Trust’s priorities is to be a learning organisation and one of continuous development.

Moving forward we are now looking at ways to bring Team Talk to you, joining individual staff groups for face to face engagement. We will be holding Team Talk Pop Ups in your areas over the year, starting with the maternity and paediatric teams over the next few months.

In the meantime please continue to give the Communications Team your feedback and ideas - it's really important we hear from you about what's working well and what can be improved.
