Celebrating 70 Years of the NHS

Before committing to a voluntary role, it is important that you think about whether you will be available to attend at least 3 hours a week for a minimum period of 6 months.

This will however, depend on the volunteer role. Please see the possible volunteer opportunity role profiles for more information.

The application process includes obtaining two satisfactory references, health clearance and a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.

Prior to commencement as a volunteer you will be required to attend a two day Corporate Induction and on becoming a volunteer you will be required to sign a Voluntary Agreement and abide with the terms of the Trust’s policies and procedures.

 

If you wish to progress an application please either download a Volunteer Application Form and the Health Form from this page or contact the Voluntary Services Manager for a copy. Additionally, please contact the Voluntary Services Manager for details to complete the DBS check online.

 

Complete the application, which includes the equal opportunities questionnaire, the health form and DBS. Remember to denote on the application and health forms which role you are applying for and contact Voluntary Services to arrange an interview.

High Sheriff Visits St Peter’s Hospital

On Tuesday 25th June the High Sheriff of Surrey, Mr Jim Glover, paid a special visit to St Peter's Hospital in Surrey to learn more about the Trust's partnership with Surrey County Council's Family Services; particularly the carpentry projects undertaken by young people referred to Surrey Family Services, to make items for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and stroke rehabilitation service.
