A Chaplain is normally available twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. The Trust Switchboard should always be able to contact the on-call Chaplain for you.

 

Ashford Hospital

If a Chaplain is on site he/she will carry bleep 5-965. The Hospital switchboard is always able to contact an appropriate Chaplain for you. Contact the switchboard by dialing ‘0’ on one of the internal phones or 01784 884488 if you are calling from outside the hospital.

St Peter’s Hospital

The Chaplains are happy to visit anyone, whether or not they belong to a particular denomination or faith. They may also be able to help staff contact the patient’s own religious leader / faith representative, if appropriate. Staff can also refer to the blue folder “Meeting the Patients’ Religious Needs”, available in the ward/clinical area.

3000th baby born in Abbey Birth Centre at St Peter’s Hospital

On Thursday 8th August at 20:48 Sheena Parmar from Addlestone gave birth to her second child, a healthy baby boy, named Dylan, who was the 3000th baby to be born in the Abbey Birth Centre at St Peter’s Hospital, Chertsey. Dylan was delivered by Midwife Angela Affinito, weighing 6lb 6oz.

Lullaby Hour at St Peter’s Hospital

The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at St Peter’s were delighted to recently be joined by professional singer and ukulele player, Emma Stevens, for Lullaby Hour. Lullaby Hour is an award winning project created by the Music in Hospitals & Care charity that brings calming music into hospital wards to help aid sleep and recovery for babies.

Ashford and St Peter's Hospitals hold successful first Community Day

St Peter's Hospital opened their doors to welcome over 300 people to their first Community Day on Saturday 6th July. The day was an outstanding success, with visitors of all ages attending and a fantastic buzz created around the Trust.
