Details of the Request
I would like to request the number of people treated in 2006, 2007 and 2008 for gunshot wounds.
The number of people treated for wounds caused by a knife or other sharp weapon where the injury was caused by another individual, and not where the injury was an accident inflicted by the person upon themselves, for the same three years. |

Thank you for your request to Ashford and St. Peter’s Hospitals NHS Trust regarding A&E injuries.
Please find below the response from the Trust’s Clinical Governance Manager in Accident & Emergency Dept.
- ICD10 “Gun Shot” codes of patients admitted via A&E were 2 patients 2008, with 0 in 2007 and 2006.
- Stab wounds data, this is coded but we are unable to advise whether it is caused by accident or by another individual
