- How many separate occasions the A&E department(s) had to redirect patients elsewhere;
- To which hospitals the patients were redirected;
For example:
- St Anne’s Hospital A&E department;
- Closed to new admissions on 50 separate occasions in 2008;
- Patients redirected to Oxdown Hospital A&E department;

Details of the Response
Thank you for your request to Ashford and St. Peter’s Hospitals NHS Trust regarding A&E Closures. The response from our Trust’s Accident & Emergency Clinical Governance Manager is as follows.
- Ashford & St Peter’s Hospitals NHS Trust Accident & Emergency Dept.
- Closed to new admissions on 1 occasion in December 2008 for one hour
- To which hospitals the patients were redirected – Royal Surrey County Hospital
We would advise, however, that we only carry out daily reporting during the winter months in between October and March during winter pressures. |
