Details of the Request
- The infections I would like data on are: Acinetobacter; Pseudomonas; and Burkholderia for 2006, 2007 and 2008.
- How many patients from whom the infection was isolated in each year died from either the infection or complications brought about by the infection
- How many patients were infected in each year. How many a) patients, b) environmental surfaces and c) pieces of hospital equipment tested positive in each year
- And for Acinetobacter, please state under each questions, how many of the cases were T strain?

Details of the Response
Thank you for your request to Ashford and St. Peter’s Hospitals NHS Trust regarding Significant Bacteraemia infections. The Trust’s Consultant Microbiologist has responded as follows:-
Acinetobacter:
Pseudomonas:
- 2006: 16
- 2007: 22
- 2008: 20
Burkholderia:
The Consultant Microbiologist has also stated that she is not aware that we have had any T strain Acinetobacter over this period. |
