Details of the Response
Thank you for your FOI request regarding the time scales and criteria used by the Trust for FOI requests.
I have detailed the information as requested with the available answers below.
- Total number of FOI requests received by your organisation, dating from 1st Jan 2005 to present day, and broken down annually.
1227
- Out of these, the number that received a response within the 20-working day limit.
517
- The longest time taken to respond to a request.
Previously the monitoring of the FOI system was not managed by a dedicated role, however this role has now been implemented by the Trust and we have already seen our response rates improve.
According to our database this is detailed as 1049 days. Upon closer inspection it was ascertained that there were a number of requests which were not closed due to ‘inactivity’ on the request. Majority of the excessive waits, detailed on our database, involve further information being requested with no response obtained from the applicant. These requests were only closed when an assessment was carried out on the system.
- Out of the total, the number of requests that were refused.
Information is not held on database, further work required to ascertain and would exceed the timescale allowed.
- Out of those requests that were refused, please provide, in accordance with section 17 of the Act, the specific exemption in question.
As for question 4
- The number of requests subject to an internal review.
Information is not held on database, further work required to ascertain and would exceed the timescale allowed.
- The results of any internal requests. i.e did the authority uphold the original decision?
As for question 6
- The number of cases referred to the Information Commissioner.
1
- If any such cases exist, what the result was.
Trust decision upheld by ICO not to release the requested information.
- The criteria used when considering the public interest test.
Each request is assessed individually in accordance with the guidance issued by the Information Commissioner
