Details of the Response

Thank you for your request to Ashford and St. Peter’s Hospitals NHS Trust regarding Headcount and Payroll. The Trust’s Deputy Director of Finance and Head of Workforce have responded as follows:
  1. What is the most recent headcount of permanent, full and part-time, staff at your trust – as of 31st March, 2010 if possible?

  2. How much in total did your trust spend on its permanent staff payroll for the most recent financial year, 2009-10 if possible?

    £130,374k

     
  3. What is the most recent headcount of non-payroll staff at your trust? If possible, please split this up into agency staff, interim managers, contractors and management consultants.

    76 whole time equivalent – this is broken down into 56 nurses, 14 doctors and 4 others.

     
  4. How much in total did your trust spend on its non-payroll staff for the most recent financial year, 2009-10 if possible?

    £5,144k

     
  5. Does your trust employ “turnaround directors” or has it done so over the past five years? If so, please state what they were paid.

    One person employed as a Turnaround Director through a company between March 2006 and August 2006 at a cost of £105k.
