Details of the Request
- How many diagnostic renal biopsies were taken for histopathological examination in the calendar years (Jan to Dec) 2007, 2008, 2009.
- Of the diagnostic biopsies in question 1 how many were examined by electron microscopy?
- How many transplant biopsies were taken for histopathological examination in the calendar years 2007, 2008, 2009.
- Of the transplant biopsies in question 3 how many were examined by electron microscopy?
- Is electron micrscopy provided in-house or sourced elsewhere?
- If elsewhere please indicate where material is sent?
- What is the average turnarounf time for each SHA for electron microscopy results from initiating the EM request to receiving images/ultrasound report (does this include wekends)?
- For questions 1-4, if alternative techniques were employed for examination of samples, which techniques were employed?
- How many Clinical Scientist grade electron microscopists are available and how many are in training?
