Thank you for your request to Ashford and St. Peter’s Hospitals NHS Trust regarding agency nursing care and agency doctors.
- How much did your hospital trust spend on (a) agency nursing care and (b) agency Doctors in the 09/10 financial year?
- Nurse agency = £1,401,160.
- Medical agency = £1,880,012.
- On how many occasions was more than £1,000 paid for a single shift for an agency doctor? Please itemise these occasions showing the date, hours worked, department where the employee worked and the grade of that person.
85 times when shifts exceeded £1,000 (including vat) in 2009/10 – details as per attached.
