| Assessment of medical patients who need to be seen earlier than an urgent specialty OP, except those that require urgent resuscitation or treatment in A&E. |

The unit receives patients from 0800 - 1800 Monday to Friday.
Patients with possible DVT are now seen in A&E and not MAU.
