RCGP procedures and dates:
GP Specialty Training culminates in passing the nMRCGP exam. nMRCGP has three components which need to be passed individually before a trainee can pass nMRCGP and apply for a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) from the RCGP. Without a CCT a trainee will be unable to work as an independent General Practitioner.
Other exams such as MRCP, DCH, DRCOG are not encouraged and study leave is unlikely to be granted unless a strong case is made to the Programme Director.
