Alternatives to the Peterbus Services from 2 April 2013

Ashford-St. Peter’s Hospital Trust have decided to stop running their four Peterbus services to St. Peter’s Hospital at Chertsey, after 28 March 2013. These alternatives will be available for getting to the hospital:
 

Places served by Peterbus 1
Ottershaw, New Haw, West Byfleet and Sheerwater Abellio Surrey bus service 446
Byfleet, Pyrford and Sheerwater Woking Bustler Dial-A-Ride service (pre-booking required)

 

Places served by Peterbus 2
Maybury, Old Woking, St. Johns, Knaphill, Goldsworth Park and Horsell Local bus to Woking Station or Cawsey Way and change there for Abellio Surrey bus services 446 or 557 to the hospital

Bus service 446 also runs to the hospital from Walton Road in Maybury

The Woking Bustler Dial-A-Ride service is also available for pre-booked trips to/from the hospital.

 

Places served by Peterbus 3
Englefield Green, Egham, Pooley Green, Thorpe, Virginia Water, Knowle Hill and Lyne New bus service 9 operated by Jeakins Coach Travel will run on Mondays to Saturdays from these places to St. Peter’s Hospital and Chertsey (near station)

Walton town centre, Oatlands Drive, Weybridge and Addlestone Abellio Surrey bus service 461

Bus service 461 also serves north end of Rydens Road, Ambleside Avenue, Cottimore Lane and Terrace Road in Walton
Hersham area Take Abellio Surrey bus services 458 or 564 to Walton and change there to service 461
Sidney Road area of Walton Use bus 461 from Terrace Road to the hospital, or bus 458 (from Hersham Road) or 564 (from Rodney Road or Bowes Road) to Walton town centre and change there to service 461
Queen’s Road (Weybridge) Take Abellio Surrey bus service 459 to Addlestone and change there to service 446 or 461 to the hospital
From 22 April 2013:
Hersham village, Hersham station, Sidney Road, Walton on Thames, Queens Road, Weybridge, Addlestone, Green Lane, Little Green Lane
 
New bus service 457 operated by Buses4U will run on Mondays to Fridays from these places to St. Peter’s Hospital

 


 

NOTE: Dial-A-Ride services (usually door-to-door) are available to anybody who does not have easy access (because of where they live) to normal bus services for journeys to the hospital, has difficulty changing buses or cannot use them for mobility reasons.

The Dial-A-Ride services to be provided by Woking Bustler must be booked in advance and are available for appointments at the hospital between 0830 and 1700 hrs., on Mondays to Fridays. An intending passenger must first register to become a Bustler member. The Bustler serves all of Woking Borough as required by bookings made and accepted. For more information, contact:
