A thought-provoking temporary art exhibition, 'People as Patients' created by artist Emma Barnard, was unveiled in July at a special event at St Peter's Hospital.
The exhibition shows patients who had their portrait taken immediately after their consultantation, along with their thoughts and feelings. The artist explained how the images reinforce the fact that patients are peoples - with hopes and fears - and that it challenges us, as healthcare professionals to be mindful of this when we see people in hospital.
The artwork is currently on the level 3 corridor at St Peter's (just along from the Admissions Lounge). It will move to Ashford in September.
