Our Flu vaccination campaign for winter 2018-19 has now ended and we are delighted that ASPH have achieved the Commissioning for Quality and Innovation target set by NHS England and successfully vaccinated 75% of our frontline healthcare staff.
This is a fantastic achievement and we’d like to express our gratitude to the Occupational Health Team, all of our peer vaccinators and everyone else who helped us to achieve this-it was a real team effort.
The World Health Organisation recently stated that Flu is one of the top ten threats to global health in 2019 so it is still very much a priority for ASPH to ensure that we vaccinate as many staff as possible. We’ll be starting to plan the winter 2019-20 campaign shortly so look out for more updates on that later this year. In the meantime, we’ll be holding a celebratory coffee morning on Thursday 25th April to thank the peer vaccinators for their time, effort, and dedication to helping us achieve the target.
