Abbie is a third year Apprentice Midwife, who has worked within maternity for three years as a Nursery Nurse before starting her journey of becoming a midwife.
I started the apprenticeship in September 2021, and I’m due to qualify this summer, it is a three-year course through the university of West London, it is spilt time between practice and theory.
“I love having the split time between practice and theory, as it’s great to regularly be able to put new theory learnt into our practice.
“I'm really enjoying my midwifery degree and it is a fantastic opportunity funded by the Trust, and I'm thankful to have been given a space.
“I would highly recommend this to everyone, you really wouldn’t regret starting this fantastic degree.”
