COVID-19: Visiting the Early Pregnancy Unit
Please could all patients call EPU on 01932 722662 before you come to the unit and certainly before you enter the Abbey Wing building.
From medical professionals including GPs, A&E staff, Community Midwives, IVF & other community clinics
Self-referrals
As per NICE Guidelines, only women who have had the following are eligible for self-referral.
This includes a history of:
- a previous confirmed ectopic pregnancy
- molar pregnancy
These patients should call EPU on 01932 722662 when they have a positive pregnancy test so that we can arrange an appropriately timed appointment for them.
If you have a history of recurrent miscarriages, you will need a GP referral.
Outside Working Hours
If you are experiencing severe pain or feeling very unwell or if there is excessive vaginal bleeding, please attend your local A&E
If symptoms are not severe, please contact the Call a Midwife Surrey Advice Line on 0300 123 5473 (24 hours, 7 days a week OR EPU on 01932 722662 on the next working day for advice.
