IBD Nursing Service
Unfortunately there will be no IBD nursing service for 2 weeks commencing Monday 13th September.
For routine enquiries Monday to Friday between 9 and 1pm, please call the helpline which is offering a messaging and call back service for general enquiries, appointment queries, prescription queries/requests and routine results. This is being managed by administrators who are not clinically trained and therefore unable to help with medical enquiries or flare management.
For flare advice please see the IBD FAQ section or contact your GP or NHS 111. If acutely unwell please attend your local A&E.
We sincerely apologise for this interruption in service. Usual service will resume on Monday 27th September.
We treat conditions including inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis), coeliac disease, bowel polyps, gastro-oesophageal reflux and Barrett's oesophagus, peptic ulcer disease, malabsorption and weight loss, iron deficiency anaemia, irritable bowel syndrome, diarrhoea, bile acid malabsorption and constipation.
Currently, our team is made up of 6 consultants, 3 registrars, 2 cancer specialist nurses, 2 IBD nurses and a team of allied health professionals. We work in close collaboration within the greater Surrey Heartlands network, and our colorectal and UGI surgical colleagues to support patients with gastrointestinal, liver, neuroendocrine and pancreatic cancers.
