Ashford and St Peter’s Hospitals were delighted to be visited by The Mayor of Runnymede, Cllr Dolsie Clarke and Consort, Dr Brian Perry last week who presented a cheque for £1,000 to Chief Executive of Ashford and St Peter’s Hospitals, Suzanne Rankin.
The Ashford and St Peter’s Charity is one of the Mayor’s chosen charities for 2018/2019, and the generous donation will be used to purchase six audiology communication systems. The system enables speech to be amplified for patients with impaired hearing. The device is small, easy to use, and ideal for use in hospitals where patients may struggle to hear those caring for them. This will be especially valuable in the Accident and Emergency Department and the Senior Adult Medical Services. Suzanne told the Mayor how grateful Ashford and St Peter’s Hospitals are to have her continued support, and that it was a great honour to have been one of her chosen charities for the year.
