Vital birth support service celebrates 21st anniversary

ASPH is celebrating 21 years of ‘The Birth Reflections, Birth Support, Counselling and Bereavement’ service founded by the late Anna Roland-Price.

This service offers parents the opportunity to reflect on their birth experience and receive extra support for those who experience a trauma, anxiety or loss.

Please note that whilst national guidance around self-testing and isolating is set to change for people in England on Thursday 24th February, there have been no changes to NHS guidance, and stringent Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) measures remain at ASPH. A ground breaking ceremony was held in one of the courtyard gardens at St Peter’s Hospital in Chertsey today [Friday 25th February 2022], to mark the start of the work that will transform this garden into a healing space, filled with seasonal flowers, leafy plants and pleached trees, as well as the calming sound of water.

On Friday 1st July 2022, Ashford and St Peter’s Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust will be increasing car parking charges for patients and visitors. We will continue to offer 20 minutes free of charge for visitors who are picking up or dropping off family, friends or loved ones, and parking will remain free for blue badge holders. An Update on our New Electronic Patient Record System

Last month Ashford and St Peter’s and Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trusts launched a new electronic patient record system, setting the scene for joined up care across the county. The system comprises a series of software applications that bring together and digitalise clinical and administrative data to replace paper-based records that will improve processes and increase safety, efficiency, and experience for patients.
