CEW Service

What is the Complication of Excess Weight (CEW) service?

The CEW service is a specially designed service for children and young people who have significant complications from obesity, such as:

  • Insulin resistance

  • liver disease

  • sleep disorders

  • emotional and social concerns

We are here to provide non-judgemental support to reduce and prevent health complications to children and young people (up until the age of 18) who live within Surrey Heartlands region. We currently run this service at St Peters Hospital in Chertsey.
