We received a visit from three 2nd year students from Brooklands College last week. They brought with them gift bags filled with presents for our senior patients who will spend Christmas Day in hospital.
This forms part of their Community Service unit in college. The students created and donated gift bags containing simple puzzles, books, and sweets. Dr. Peter Enwere, Consultant in Geriatrics at St. Peter’s Hospital, spoke to the students thanking them for their donations and spoke about the value our elderly patients have given to society during their lives. He said he was “humbled and appreciate their efforts”.
