PSA Testing Event at Burhill Golf Club Tuesday, 17 March 2026 Sunday 8 March saw our second, successful, annual PSA Testing Event, bringing together Burhill Golf Club, Ashford and St Peter’s Hospitals’ Charity and our Urology Team to deliver 90 PSA blood tests, testing for potential prostate cancer. Last year’s event aided in the early detection of prostate cancer for two of Burhills’ community, so the importance of regular testing, even if living without symptoms, was really appreciated by many who attended. |

Thursday, 06 August 2026 The World Health Organisation (WHO) aims to increase the number of babies who are exclusively breastfed for the first six months of life to 60% by 2030. Breastfeeding benefits both mother and baby, helping to protect against infections as well as longer-term conditions including obesity, diabetes, some cancers and heart disease. Supporting more families to breastfeed could save the NHS up to £50 million each year as well as reduce hospital admissions and GP consultations (Unicef UK, 2026). |

Beyond Goodbye, developed by Clinical Practice Facilitator Alexandra Ghica with support from Emergency Department link nurse Sasha Campbell, has been recognised in the Critical and Emergency Care Nursing category for the difference it is making to bereaved families. |
