NHS Big Tea 2024

The NHS Big Tea returns on 5 July to celebrate the 76th birthday of the NHS. The nationwide event is the perfect opportunity to show your appreciation for the incredible NHS staff who continue to care so compassionately for us and our loved ones.

How you can get involved

There are a number of ways you can get involved and support staff, patients and volunteers at Ashford and St Peter’s Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Join the nation and host your own NHS Big Tea party this July to raise funds for the Ashford and St Peter’s Hospitals’ Charity (ASPH Charity).

The Charity can offer support and provide a range of assets to help you raise awareness of your event. Please email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. to register your interest and for more information on hosting your own event.

ASPH Charity will also be hosting their own NHS Big Tea party at St Peter’s Hospital! Join us in the Eternal Garden between 11am and 4pm on 5 July to celebrate with a cup of tea, a sweet treat and a chat.

The NHS Big Tea is an event developed by NHS Charities Together for the benefit of its members, a network of over 200 NHS charities – including ASPH Charity. It’s your chance to give something back to local health services who care for you and your loved ones in times of need.

For the seventh year running, this summer’s NHS Big Tea celebration will coincide with the NHS’s 76th birthday.

Every penny raised for ASPH Charity will help contribute to key projects supporting local health services in North West Surrey that will improve patient experience. Some examples include equipment for the Cardiology Unit at St Peter’s, chairs for the Imaging department at Ashford, and specialist equipment for the Woking Community Diagnostic Centre.
