Updated: Friday 6 June 2025
We have been informed by Affinity Water that the traffic lights outside Ashford Hospital have now been removed as the repair work has been completed.
Original article: Wednesday 4 June 2025
Access to Ashford Hospital via Town Lane (B378) / A30 is currently affected by emergency works being carried out due to a burst water main on Town Lane.
Town Lane is closed heading north from the A30 London Road up to the traffic lights at the entrance to Tesco's and Ashford hospital. The exit of Tesco's and Ashford Hospital is now left turn only so please be mindful that this will cause some traffic and delays in the area. Heading south is fully open.
Those coming to the hospital today for an appointment or attending the walk-in centre can still access the site via the alternative routes shown in the maps below.

Alternative route one

Alternative route two
Please check your route before travelling and leave extra time due to heavy traffic in the area.
The hospital is not affected by the burst water main.
We will continue to update this page throughout the day. For the latest updates, please check the Affinity Water website:
