Patients share their experience of Ashford and St Peter’s Hospitals as part of national Adult Inpatient Survey
Results from a national survey show that nine out of 10 of patients at Ashford and St Peter’s Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust said they were treated with ‘kindness and compassion’ and ‘respect and dignity’.
More than 460 patients at Ashford and St Peter’s hospitals during November 2024 shared their experiences as part of the 2024 Adult Inpatient Survey, published by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
The results also showed that patients responded positively when asked about their confidence and trust in the doctors and nurses treating them, as well as the information they were given about their condition or treatment.
Jay Dungeni, Chief Nursing Officer at the trust, said: “Thank you to our patients who took the time to complete the survey, your feedback helps us to identify areas where we are doing well and where improvements can be made that will enhance the experience for everyone.
“We’re pleased to hear that our patients experience kindness, compassion and respect from colleagues at ASPH. It is a real testament to our team who are committed to delivering high quality and safe care for our community.
“We also recognise that there is more that we can do to make sustained improvements. The trust has developed an action plan using the insights from this survey, and work is already well underway to make improvements in these areas.”
The survey captures the experiences of patients aged 16 and above who spent at least one night in hospital for medical care from across 131 NHS trusts.
The CQC Adult Inpatient Survey is just one of the ways patients can feedback about their experience of care at the trust. To learn more about how to share views and experiences as a patient or visitor, please visit >www.ashfordstpeters.nhs.uk/patients/your-feedback
