This festive season, visitors to Guildford Spectrum may catch a glimpse of Liz Amini, Activities Co-ordinator from the Bradley Unit at Woking Hospital (part of Ashford and St Peter’s Hospitals), gliding across the ice.
Throughout December, Liz will be taking on a sponsored 26-mile Christmas skate-a-thon to raise funds for the Ashford and St Peter’s Hospitals Charity, supporting the Bradley Unit Charitable Fund.
The Bradley Unit provides life-changing neuro-rehabilitation for patients recovering from stroke, brain injury, and other neurological conditions. Liz, who works as an Activities Co-ordinator on the ward, was inspired to take on the challenge after seeing first-hand the profound difference the unit makes to patients and their families.
Speaking on her challenge, Liz said: “I am thrilled to share a joyful new challenge that brings together winter fun, physical wellbeing, and community spirit - all in support of a truly meaningful cause.”

We are deeply grateful to Liz for taking on this remarkable challenge. Her dedication and commitment highlights the vital work of the Bradley Unit.
The hospital is encouraging the community to support the challenge by donating towards the challenge. Every contribution will help create a more uplifting and empowering space for our patients and their families on the unit.
