As you may be aware we are currently constructing two new wards in the car park next to the Rowley Bristow Unit. This will necessitate a large number of very wide prefabricated sections being brought onto the Hospital grounds by lorries, each lorry will take up most of the width of the estate roads to get to its destination. Once at the building site the loads will be lifted into position by crane and only one lorry will attend the hospital at any one time.
On Monday 1st March, we held our first-ever Ashford and St Peter’s Hospitals (ASPH) New Year’s Honours List awards ceremony. Individuals and teams at the Trust were recognised for their hard work and effort with awards in categories such as ‘Passion for Excellence’, ‘Unsung Hero’ and ‘Inspiring Leader’, and all of which were nominated by colleagues at ASPH.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Trust has introduced a number of measures which include visiting restrictions (except in some circumstances). This is part of our Infection Prevention and Control strategy to minimise footfall on site and to help reduce transmission of the virus across the hospitals to protect patients and staff.
