Members of our Chaplaincy Team are on the wards regularly and they are very happy to see you whether or not you belong to a particular denomination or faith.

If you wish, they can help to put you in touch with your own priest or faith leader.

If you need the ministry of a Chaplain immediately please ask the ward staff to ring the hospital switchboard and request them to contact the “on call” Chaplain for you. Less urgent requests for a visit can be left on Ext. 3324 (01932 723324 if calling from outside the hospital).

We can arrange for you to receive Holy Communion whilst you are in hospital and prayers, anointing or a blessing, if appropriate, for you. Alternatively, you may simply need someone else to whom you can talk.

Both hospitals have a Multi-Faith Centre where you will find a Chapel, a Multi-Faith Prayer Room, a Quiet Room, and an Ablutions room for the use of those who observe ritual washing before prayer. These Centres are open each day from approximately 7am - 7pm. If you need to access them out of hours our security staff can assist you.

The Multi-Faith Centre at Ashford Hospital is close to the Main Entrance, whilst at St. Peter’s Hospital the Centre is located on level 2 link corridor, beside the rear entrance to A&E. You will find prayer mats and sacred texts which are for your use. Service and prayer times are advertised on the centre notice boards.
